Musee du Bas-Saint-Laurent The mandate of the Museum of Bas-Saint-Laurent is to educate visitors on, and preserve Quebecois contemporary art, ethnology and early photography. The Musee de bateaux miniatures & legendes du Bas-Saint-Laurent (Museum of Miniature Boats & Legends of the Bas-Saint-Laurent) displays over 160 miniature boats ranging in size from 45 cm (18 in) to 1.8 m (6 ft). The museum's goal is to act as a tribute to the local artisans that built the boats. There is also an exhibit called The Quay, and a small art gallery filled with works by local artists that tell the legends of Bas-Saint-Laurent.
